Good habits

Good habits I'm working on:

- Home made lunch to work. I got sick and tired f the food at work, so I can fix myself lunch at home. It will be more healthy and I’ll avoid eating too much fats.

- Expenses organization. Honestly I have no idea how much exactly I have in my bank account. I have to organize my expenses and estimate what I can afford.

- Schedule monthly call with my relatives. Now I always forget to make time for my grand mothers and cousins. I love them, but somehow I can’t find appropriate time to call them. I have to schedule a day of the month to call them, for example every first Sunday.

- Walk more and go to the gym. I have to take care of my health and shape more.

- Healthy food- no fizzy drinks, limited sweets, no fried foods, more vegetables and fruits.

- Reading books instead of watching tv.

- Knowledge refresh and improvement- at least one movie without subtitles per week, review of Spanish words, articles concerned to my educational and work area.

- Doing my chores on time. I postpone doing my chores very often and I don’t like that at all. I must be more organized (and I must confess less lazy) about it.

- Organize my files and folders in my computer and keep tracks of the interesting links or information I like.

Dress Code for Job Interview

Does it really make a difference how you dress for an interview? In many cases, it does. I'll never forget the gentleman I interviewed for an accounting position. He had been out of work for a few months and wanted to show me why. He took off his jacket, unbuttoned his shirt and started to pull down his pants (this is a true story) to show me the scar from a boat propeller that had injured him. He didn't get the job. Neither did the young lady in a bright red skirt so short and tight that she could hardly sit down!

In the conservative business climate I worked in at the time, appearances did matter. In other environments it isn't as important. However, it does make sense to dress your best for the interview, regardless of the dress code at the organization. If you're in doubt about how to dress for an interview, it is best to err on the side of conservatism. It is much better to be overdressed than underdressed (or undressed). If you're not sure, check with the person who scheduled the interview and ask.

According to Kim Zoller at Image Dynamics, 55% of another person's perception of you is based on how you look. Her Dressing for Success information gives some tips on how to look your best, without necessarily spending a lot of money. Here's a quick look at the basics:

Women's Interview Attire :

  • Solid color, conservative suit
  • Coordinated blouse
  • Moderate shoes
  • Limited jewelry
  • Neat, professional hairstyle
  • Tan or light hosiery
  • Sparse make-up & perfume
  • Manicured nails
  • Portfolio or briefcase

Men's Interview Attire

  • White long sleeve shirt
  • Conservative tie
  • Dark socks, professional shoes
  • Very limited jewelry
  • Neat, professional hairstyle
  • Go easy on the aftershave
  • Neatly trimmed nails
  • Portfolio or briefcase

Why Men Cheat

Why men cheat on women is an age-old question. The reasons why men cheat on women can be varied. Nevertheless, we have compiled a list of the top 10 reasons why both married and unmarried men cheat. Sometimes their reasons don't even involve you and it's simply an ego-based decision. Other times, reasons why men cheat can involve you and your relationship, or lack thereof.

So why do some men cheat in relationships' Almost all men know that cheating is wrong, yet many they still do it. Men will blame their reasons for cheating on their genes and their necessity to reproduce. However, aren't we suppose to be further evolved than a chimp' Shouldn't we be able to control our bodies through our minds and conscious decisions' Aparrently not always.

Here are the top 10 reasons why men cheat:

1. Because they had the option. The old saying 'men are only as faithful as their options' can sometimes ring true. Men don't get offered sex as often as women so when the opportunity does arise, it can be very difficult for them to turn it down.

2. It boosts their ego. Sometimes men don't feel like they are attractive to the opposite sex any more and when a woman shows some interest, not only does a man react, he may allow her to stroke his ego and more. There's nothing like the thrill of the chase to men on the hunt. When they are finally rewarded for their efforts, their egos swell even larger.

3. You grow apart. Maybe the two of you didn't have as much in common as you thought. He's met a woman who has more in common with him who loves football or plays golf. He may check out if he is compatible with her under the sheets also.

4. You argue a lot. Men will sometimes cheat to get away from an overly critical or argumentative partner. Who wants to be around someone who is constantly on them about something.

5. He's fallen out of love. Sometimes men become so comfortable in a relationship, they don't know how to get out. They may be staying in the relationship because of children or financial reasons. However, they feel like they are missing out on love and may seek it out elsewhere. In their mind, this is as close to win-win as they can get.

6. Your sex life sucks. If a man has a disinterested partner or isn't getting enough sex to fulfill him, there is a good chance he will have an affair. Just because you have a husband or boyfriend, does not mean you can stop trying. It takes a little bit of effort to keep your sex life from getting boring and non-existent. Some men cheat because they want to try new sexual things that their current partner will not try.

7. To get revenge. A man will sometimes cheat if he finds out his partner was cheating on him. How else is he supposed to heal those hurt feelings of his but through good old fashioned sex'

8. It's new, different and exciting. Some men get tired of having steak for dinner every night and want to try a hamburger. The same goes for sex with a woman. That's why men don't necessarily always cheat with women who are more attractive than their partners.

9. To see if they can get away with it. If a man has the attitude of 'what she doesn't know, won't hurt her,' he may cheat to see if he is sneaky and smart enough to get away with it. However, with all the advancement in surveillance spy ware, getting caught has now become easier than ever.

10. Because you have allowed it in the past. If you have forgiven a cheating man a couple of times, they are more than likely going to cheat again because they already know if they plead enough, you will forgive them.

Romantic thoughts could keep love alive

Sending love letters or going for romantic strolls can not only win over the object of your desire, it can also make you like them more.

Thinking passionate thoughts about the one you love makes you less likely to stray, a new study shows, because you find others less attractive.

The research could prove that love truly makes us blind, scientists believe.

Researchers asked 113 students in long term relationships to look at photographs of 60 different people, who ranged in looks from the average to the highly attractive.

Before being shown the pictures half of the group were asked to write an essay detailing their strong feelings of love for their partner.

The other students were asked to write about a time when they felt extremely happy.

When they were shown the photographs those who had just written about their loved one spent less time looking at the pictures and automatically rejected the most attractive people, the scientists found.

Dr Jon Maner, a psychologist from Florida State University, who led the study, said: "Their attention was repelled, rather than captured, by attractive alternatives to their current partner.

"Romantic love for a current partner, therefore, may inhibit the basic perceptual processing of attractive relationship alternatives.

"In this sense, love truly does appear to be blind."

The results of the study could suggest one reason why humans commit to long term partnerships with only one mate, according to the findings published in the journal Evolution and Human Behaviour.

The process could have evolved because of the strong social benefits of a stable, committed relationship.

The researchers believe that our response to triggers such as writing about the one we love could be linked to a hormone called oxytocin, the so-called "cuddle" hormone, which works to bond people together and can increase when strong feelings of desire are created.

It was a great start of my birthday!
I don't like myself smiling on pictures, but I couldn't stop smiling after the nice surprise!

Hahah I still don't look too old, right?

I have nightmares

Lately I have nightmares almost every night. It's crazy, I wake up tense and worried. I don't feel stressed and I'm looking for the reason I can't sleep well... In www.dreammoods.com/dreaminformation/dreamtypes/nightmares.htm I found an article that says about nightmares: Nightmares are a subcategory of dreams. The distinction of a nightmare is its frightening and/or emotional content. You tend to wake up in fear in the midst of a nightmare. Because of its frightening nature, you are more likely to remember your nightmares and the vivid details. They have a bigger impact upon your waking mind. Its images stay with you throughout the day.
Some studies show that people who are more sensitive, intuitive, creative, or imaginative are more prone to have nightmares. this may be because they are more empathetic and more in tune with their surroundings. One reason for nightmares may be a way for your unconscious to get your attention about a situation or problem that you have been avoiding. It is time to take notice and confront the issue! Sometimes nightmares serve to warn you about your health or an accident. However, often times nightmares stem from a deeper level indicating that something is troubling you from within your subconscious. Discussing, analyzing, and understanding your nightmares can lead to a solution to some problem, internal conflict or personal difficulty.

According to a report released by the United States National Library of Medicine, there are some factors that when present can increase the chances of having a nightmare:
  • - Food eaten prior to bed: Eating a meal just before going to bed can cause the brain to have an intense amount of energy. The brain is more active and this in itself leads to more dreams, sometimes nightmares.
  • - Sleep disorders: Some people who live with sleep disorders, especially narcolepsy are more prone to experiencing nightmares more often than those that do not. Those suffering from sleep apnea may also experience nightmares more often.
  • - Anxiety and stress: Going to sleep worrying can bring on nightmares. The hormones released during periods of anxiety and stress lead can lead to nightmares during sleep.
  • - Major life changes: Death, divorce, financial problems and other highly stressful life events can lead to nightmares in some individuals. This happens because dreams in general often have a direct relation to day-to-day life, even when they are not nightmares specifically.
  • - Illness: Some illnesses can cause high fevers, which can lead to nightmares and more intense dreams.

Often times, the nightmare is a deeply rooted, subconscious occurrence, caused by ignored feelings or deep disturbances. In these situations, dream researchers believe that one can attribute nightmares to unexplored feelings:
  • - Fear
  • - Blame
  • - Embarrassment
  • - Past issues not dealt with
  • - Emotional problems
  • - Anger
  • - Frustration
